BIO

EDH (Emmanuelle de Héricourt) is a french  singer/songwriter. Her unique sound combines her disembodied and fragile voice with strong and driving melodies. During the past decade, she has maintained a amazingly prolific pace, composing and recording non‐stop, releasing only a fraction of her output. This includes her acclaimed contributions to Hypo’s albums (Active Suspension label) and “The Correct Use of Pets”, winner of the Qwartz Electronic Music Awards (2006). Since her return to Paris from New York in 2003, she released several small treasures: Her first official album “Morgen” (2003) came out on the Japanese label IntikRec (dDamage, Aonami…). In 2008, the American rapper Subtitle convinced her to release her New York productions. The result is a wonderfully obscure album : “New York tracks 2001‐2002” (Matte Black Editions). In 2008 she joined Elise Pierre in operating the Parisian record label Lentonia Records, which specializes in female composers. They have signed international artists as Kim Ki O, Phoebe Jean and the Air Force, Unison and Alex June.

EDH will now release "LAVA CLUB", her third album on Lentonia Records after “Prédature” and “Yaviz”. EDH's music develops a radical electronic sound with extreme drum rhythms and prepared electric guitars. Her unique style and unmistakably deep voice fluctuates  precisely and rhythmically, cutting-up the English language along the way. “Lava Club” is a collection of dance tracks come from the dark sonic netherworlds inhabited by Kraftwerk and DMX Krew. Its trance-like compositions provide an amazing new experience for solo listeners out on a sonic foray. But they also accompany any congregation effortlessly into another aural dimension.

In september/october 2014, EDH will tour in the East coast of the US.
